Bespoke Granite & Quartz Worktops
Local Granite and Quartz Worktops for Newmarket
Only 35 Miles From Our Showroom
Passion for Granite is a small, independent workshop based in Biggleswade, and Newmarket is somewhere we’re regularly fitting granite and quartz worktops rather than making an occasional visit. We handle templating, fabrication and fitting ourselves from start to finish, which keeps the whole process under one roof and one team. Whether it’s a homeowner replacing a worn worktop, a landlord refitting a rental kitchen, or a developer or trade contractor managing a larger job in Newmarket, the process stays the same. Property developers and landlords working across Newmarket often come back to us project after project, simply because the same team handles every stage without any handover.
Extremely pleased with David and his team. Love our worktops. Everything was done very professionally. Highly recommend Passion for Granite. Kevin McNamara.

Fitting Kitchens and Bathrooms Across Newmarket
Newmarket includes a decent mix of established homes, newer estates, and a scattering of larger or converted properties, and the granite versus quartz decision usually follows the kitchen itself. Older or more traditional Newmarket kitchens often suit granite, where natural variation in the stone adds character. Larger, more modern kitchens tend to work better with quartz, where consistency across the worktop run matters. We put together clear, comparable quotes for both so you can make the call based on your own kitchen rather than ours. New developments on the edge of Newmarket tend to favour quartz for exactly that reason, while the older parts of town lean toward granite for character.

The Passion for Granite Guarantee
Granite asks for one reseal a year to stay resistant to staining, which is a small task set against how it looks once finished. Quartz asks for even less, just warm water and a soft cloth to keep it clean. Where there's heavier daily use, a busy kitchen or a commercial space, quartz tends to be the more practical option, though plenty of homeowners still prefer granite regardless. A soft cloth is all you need day to day, abrasive scourers can mark both surfaces eventually.
- breakfast bar and kitchen island surfaces, supported properly and finished flush so there is no lip between sections.
- outdoor kitchen worktops built to handle the weather, so summer cooking areas hold up over several years.
- upstands and splashbacks cut from the same slab as your worktop, so the colour and pattern run through without an obvious join.
Request A Free Quotation For Your Newmarket Project
We work from whatever you can send us, full drawings, a rough sketch, or just photos and measurements, and turn that into an itemised quote covering the stone, the fabrication and the fitting. Lead times are set out clearly from the start. Fancy seeing the slabs yourself rather than relying on a small sample? Our Biggleswade workshop is open for visits, no appointment pressure, just come and have a look. For trade and repeat customers we can also discuss ongoing pricing rather than quoting each job separately.
