Granite does need an annual reseal to keep it resistant to staining, but it's a small job for the character it gives back in return. Quartz needs no sealing at all, just regular cleaning with warm soapy water. Commercial kitchens and busy family homes often find quartz easier to live with day to day, while others stick with granite because they simply prefer the look of natural stone. We can supply a suitable sealant for granite if you'd rather do the annual reseal yourself.
